Hey There,
Wow, has it been a minute or what? To be honest with you, this summer absolutely kicked my ass. Despite having the best of intentions, my content and publishing schedule fell victim to the insanity of summer vacation, an incredibly busy work and freelance schedule, a Mel Brooks musical, and some personal stuff that required my attention. My capacity dissipated to almost nothing outside of the things that were screaming the loudest at me - and I got tired y'all, like DEEPLY tired.
The good news is that now it's September which means the Gods have blessed us once again with the promise of a delightful Fall, and my soul is now at peace and looking forward to the weeks to come.
With that comes some changes to the way I am approaching my work on the Everyday Projector front. I've gained some clarity about the focus of my content - and that is helping me to narrow the scope of what I'm doing to fit the containers I have for them. We all know how much I love self-discovery, and my work will remain on the self-discovery process, but with an additional focus on alignment and authenticity, because to me - that's why we do self-discovery work. It's all about understanding yourself better so that you CAN create a life that is more aligned and authentic to you.
It just makes sense.
So I hope you are looking forward to more content based on this very simple approach to making your life better.
In order to facilitate my new vision, I have made the extremely aligned decision to stop using social media to promote or extend the reach of my platform. I will now be focused on only two platforms and mediums - YouTube and Substack/blogging.
That's right - SURPRISE - I have moved my main blog over to Substack. I will probably be cross-posting my Substack posts to the Everyday Projector Blog, but if you would like to have more of an opportunity to interact and take part in the community aspect of my writing, then I suggest you just follow me over there so you can keep up with my notes and posts.
On Substack I allow myself to write what my soul needs to say, which has been freeing and exciting and vulnerable and just exactly what I needed.
Now that you're all caught up on my Everyday Projector news - let me share some equally exciting personal stuff.
In the month of August, I finished work on THREE audiobooks and started taking an Advanced Audiobook Narration class with Casting Call Club/Closing Credits under the instruction of the epic Chris Boucher. I am enjoying myself SO much working on voice over and audiobooks, I may never stop.
This July I played Frau Blucher in Mel Brooks' Young Frankenstein musical and had a grand old time. I am positively giddy to be starting rehearsals for one of my bucket list shows, Sweeney Todd, at the end of the month.
My son, Ryker, just started 4th grade and will be playing the role of Baby Bear in the upcoming mainstage production of Shrek the Musical at Town & Country Players this Fall.
And this April I jetted to the other side of the world for an EPIC two week vacation to New Zealand, where I visited Hobbiton, hiked up a mountain during a snowstorm, slept in a tent next to the sea, saw lots of sheep, and did several wine tours that forever changed my relationship to white wine. It was truly unforgettable and I feel so incredibly lucky that I have such a wonderful group of friends who helped make the entire thing happen.

This week, I wanted to delve into the common experience of hyperfocus and disenchantment that us ADHDers often struggle with. How does it affect your life when excitement turns sour? If you've ever been affected by this cycle, or know and love someone else who has, I hope this helps you.

What I'm Reading
I've recently finished Money and the Law of Attraction by Jerry and Esther Hicks (via Abraham). If you're a fan of Abraham Hicks this is a must read, it will help you reframe your understanding of how the law of attraction works to help you manifest more financial abundance in your life.
My fiction read of the moment is Heartless Hunter by Kristen Ciccarelli. If you love romantasy, witches, and Victorian era mysteries, then I think this is gonna be a hit.
That's it for now. As always, feel free to follow me everywhere, and do reach out if you have any questions or ideas for content I should create in the future.
